Celebrating milestones!
A year in review
2020 turned out to be a challenging year in which to start a small business! While the year may not have looked like what any of us hoped for, I’m grateful for every nonprofit I got to work with last year. I’m so privileged to work with client organizations that are doing incredible work serving the community, educating our young people, and bringing light into dark times.
In 2020, NWCD helped our nonprofit clients secure 29 separate grant awards. These included grants from just about every major funder in our region, including the MJ Murdock Charitable Trust, the Collins Foundation, the James F. and Marion L. Miller Foundation, the Oregon Community Foundation, the Oregon Arts Commission, the Regional Arts & Culture Council (RACC), the Autzen Foundation, the Herbert A. Templeton Foundation, the Juan Young Trust, the Maybelle Clark MacDonald Fund, the Rose E. Tucker Charitable Trust, the Jackson Foundation, and the Ronald W. Naito Foundation.
And most of the funds we secured were not earmarked for COVID-19 relief. The majority of this funding was for general operations, program support or capacity building.
While COVID-19 relief funding is still available, so are other funding opportunities. We’re here to help you get through these difficult times, but we’re also here to help you grow. Don’t stop dreaming. I’m so excited to see what your organization can accomplish in 2021!
